Day 110: The Snow Day that Never Came

All the students and all the teachers

They watched the weather

They watched it together

The man said 4 to 6

Then he said it may snow a bit

Far and near

The skies were clear

We hoped and prayed

With a spoon under the pillow

We laid

The snow finally came

Too late and too little

Merely some flakes and some pittle

Not enough to satisfy the powers that be

The buses drove on

So did all the students, the teachers, and me

We grabbed our coats and we grabbed our lunches

We piled into school in angry bunches

The day went on as any day should

Pull out those earbuds

Take off that hood

In the end,

The sun came and went

It’s sixth hour now,

And we’re all freaking spent

“I wish it was a snow day!”

We give out one last moan

The weatherman said, “Don’t worry,

Here’s some snow for the drive home.”
