Day 172: To Live Forever

What a dream we dream

Of infinite time

To bend and weave existence without a break

Some say, “Ludicrous!” while others yearn for just one more

One more hour, one more day, one more year

Just think of all one could do

Learn all the instruments, read all the books

See all the shows, meet all the people

Cure every disease

Swim around the Earth, just to say you did

What then?

Will not the human condition take over? Claim boredom?!

Build a rocket to another galaxy

Explore the Universe without the fear of death

Take off into the infinite darkness to build your own?

Though,

I’d rather take a breath.

Want, want, want until there is nothing else to hold

When we could find peace

If we want for not a minute more
