Day 19: How I Write

I don’t wait
If I wait I forget
The brilliant ideas are lost
To the eternity sea of thoughts
Where I hope someone else fishes them out
I don’t wait
Waiting only stirs the thoughts
Like a painting with too many colors
That turns to brown
The mind is stuck in a cesspool of frustration
Be as the white rabbit:
There’s no time to waste
I don’t wait
I let the fingers do the talking
Feel the clicking and the clacking
Doing my best to lay off the backspace
Letting the space between the keys and my fingertips
Control the world
If only for a few moments
I don’t wait
Waiting is like damming up the mind
The fish are hungry and the trees are dying
Let the river flow as is must
Let erosion eat away at the muddy sides
I didn’t need them anyway
Allow the water to breed all the terrible thoughts and wonderful thoughts
I don’t wait
I’ve waited in the past
The regret was too much to handle
So I forget
Then I forgot that I wanted to remember
Nothing mattered in the end
And here we are
I don’t wait
All the senses must take over
Smell the words
Hear the laughter between quotations
An ancient mind, present, writing from the future
Where do the words and thoughts come from
I sometimes wonder
But I don’t fret too much
Because they were always here
I don’t wait
Because eventually I will be dead
I want my thoughts and words to mean something
To someone else
Always for someone else
Because I was inspired once
And hope to do the same for you
Author's Note #1: Now I am supposed to pass this on. So now you should write a poem about how you write. Have fun!
