For creatures that are sixty percent water, it is no wonder that our instincts guide us toward the path of least resistance — trusting gravity and avoiding the hills too steep to climb. Although, this coincidence does not equate to the matters of tasks that may be considered hard or easy: those are the inventions of opinion. Our flow instead shows us signs in the heart and in the belly: what feels right. We are rivers, constructing our own rapids and paths, vigilantly plowing the earth to find a way to our own pond, where the waves and rapids finally subside to simply existing: where bugs, fish, and birds can flourish: where the lotus grows.
