As we step out of our comfort zone in the midst of this pandemic we may find someone new. Uncertainty, stress, and potential death may awaken our desires. To know that all of this is finite gives our lives that much more value, while our material possessions depreciate. This hardship has given us time to pause and look around — a moment to decide what is worth living for. Food, water, shelter, family, and friends. Those are the real fortunes of life. The rest is dust, momentarily capturing our attention.
If our lives are but a blink, I want to make it a good blink, surrounded by those I love.
