Day 26: To See What I See

I don’t know if I would suggest

My eyes for yours

To see all the beauty

But risk the deep pitfalls of terror

Hidden away in the abyss

Even from myself

I have to admit

I’ve wanted inside your mind too

To know what you think of me

And why you say the things you say

And why you do the things you do

And, alas, I’ll keep guessing

We are all watching our own movie

But

I haven’t seen yours

And you haven’t seen mine

That could be the whole point

Of conflict and resolution

The balance of our lives

Perhaps death is the understanding of all

Of me

Of you

And this big ol’ mess will make sense

Till then

I’ll stick to my double feature
