Imagine a ball on a wooden plane that extends forever
The winds of emotion blow the ball
Sometimes in a gust and sometimes in a storm
The ball rolls without our control
Without hands we attempt to hold it in place
Closing our eyes and taking breaths
The groove in the center of the plane deepens
Our calmness sands down the grooves
So that each time the ball rolls away
It becomes easier to fall back into center
