Day 358: Madness

Not to sound too optimistic, but

We are madness

Heartbreakingly beautiful

Running away from our tails made of morning stars

Trying to talk a tornado out of churning

We are colliding cannons

Firing upon one another with painted smiley faces on the barrels

Dragging morgues across the Earth

With chains that are too short

Attached from my toes to my heart

We are unbearably sad

Filling our cheeks with comedic injections

Hoping to find every dose inside the latest thumbprint and stroke

Scratching the walls of the well

Unknowingly digging a deeper pit

We are chasing a truth we will never write

Uncovering every stone, reading every book

Frying our minds to find the peaceful secrets that will never change a thing

Lying to the mirror in order to straighten the tie one more time

In the absence, we keep on keeping on

The greener grass eternity is a lesson that will never be learned

For there is only once choice but to live with the madness

A gentle reminder to sniff the flowers

Because they will soon be dead
