Day 36: Why I Love the Lions

- Blue jerseys.

- Amazing pre-season records.

- I am from Michigan and do not feel like I have a choice.

- Football on Thanksgiving.

- We once had Barry Sanders.

- The drama of players, coaches, and fans.

- Having the hope every year of going to the Super Bowl without any statistical or logical evidence.

- Being a Lions fan might one day lead to schizophrenia, and that will be pretty fun.

- Laughter they bring after losing another one in a profound way.

- Lions are cool animals. Just look at what Simba did.

- I am on the side that Hell should freeze over.

- It is a mental workout just to watch them, so I don’t have to do 10,000 steps on Sundays.

- I am not a fair-weather fan

- Screw the Packers

- The excitement and unity in the room when they win.

- Because they are a glimmer of hope for all children that you can fail so many times but the next week you get back out there and you lose again with your head held high, and one day your children’s children’s children may see that glorious day when frogs fall from Heaven, the Devil is buried in ice, and one team of blue and silver will finally prove to the world, with that trophy held high on its way to Disney Land, they are worth lifetimes of disappointment.

- At least we’re not the Browns.

Author's Note #1: I have not watched a single game this season.

Author's Note #2: I don't blame the refs. Change my mind.

I’ve watched pretty much every game and mannnn the fuck is this? They are better than recent years with a new QB but it’s like one error causes them to lose. Its dumb. But I do like your last reason why you’re a Lions fan 🙃
