Day 83: Tut Tut, It Looks Like Rain

Did you hear?! It’s going to rain! It’s going to be the biggest thing since last year when it rained and it froze. Remember that? Crazy shit. Don’t worry, I called the National Guard already. You call the military. Oh wait, they’re busy. Bummer.
Strap in because this is going to be one for the record books. It’s going to rain. And rain. And rain. And at some time tomorrow it is going to freeze. And then it’s going to snow. And then it’s going to continue to rain and snow and freeze. But we have time.
Head for the store now. Wal-Mart is open twenty-four hours a day and their employees still have to go to work tomorrow. Along with the rest of America. No rest for the capitalist. It is possible that school events will get canceled. Delta College in Saginaw already called it quits. Kettering University sent out a warning to inform people that plans may change. Not sure yet.
A day in the rain would be grand. I love staring out the window and watching it fall and drain while I am warm inside. I like running around in the summertime rain. But this ain’t summer. This is Thunder Dome. And shit is going to get real. So, you better stock up on canned corned and Wild Turkey now because tomorrow night is going to turn into what we thought the year 2000 and 2012 would look like. Mark my word: 2020 is the year it all goes down.
The rain is getting to my head.
For rainy days off, I suggest watching the old Winnie-the-Pooh cartoons. Or, better yet, read the books to your children or pets. Have a wonderful day full of rain!
