Day 93: The Imperfect Flower

If I were a flower

I’d be a dandelion

I know what you’re thinking

You’re calling it a weed

Well maybe you know the definition

But that is not how I see them

For one, they look like a flower

They are bright yellow and pop out of the ground in the summer

Sure they spread all over the yard

But that makes the yard shine

Plus,

I bet you didn’t know this part

You can eat dandelions

Yup, sure can

And they taste pretty good

Dandelions are a sure sign of spring and summer

They welcome us with bright eyes

And even in death,

Dandelions provide us with the beautiful task of blowing their seeds across the land.
